The British Museum has an incredible exhibit on display by Mozambique artists called Tree of Life. The tree sculpture created from decommissioned weapons was unveiled in 2005 as part of the Transforming Arms Into Tools project which offered farming tools in exchange for guns from the countries 17-year civil war. The sculpture "reflects the collective creativity of the people of Mozambique, and their refusal to submit to a culture of violence".
